DC‑TS‑NVH Abnormal‑noise Detection System‑ Captures Subtle Industrial Abnormal Sounds and Realizes Controllable Upgrade of Product Quality

Unusual abnormal noise during operation is one of the most common and tricky quality issues in modern manufacturing industries. Household appliances, motor components, automotive spare parts, intelligent equipment and industrial assemblies may produce faint irregular noise under variable working conditions such as start-stop, speed switching, load changing and long-term continuous operation. Most abnormal sounds are transient and intermittent, appearing only within specific speed ranges or partial working states. Such subtle noise defects are difficult to capture stably through manual inspection or conventional testing equipment, bringing long-term troubles to product quality control and technical iteration.

Traditional manual noise inspection relies heavily on the experience of operators and engineers. Human auditory judgment is easily affected by on-site background noise, listening fatigue and personal subjective differences, resulting in inconsistent test results and poor repeatability. Meanwhile, manual checking cannot record complete signal waveforms, time-domain characteristics and corresponding working parameters. Once market complaints or quality disputes occur, manufacturers lack traceable test data for problem analysis, which slows down product optimization and increases after-sales and rework costs.

The DC-TS-NVH abnormal noise detection system is developed to solve the above industrial pain points. Different from ordinary single-function noise meters, it adopts dual collection of acoustic signals and vibration signals, fully adapting to dynamic industrial working conditions. The system collects real-time data throughout the whole operating process of tested products. Built-in professional algorithms effectively filter background noise, steady operating noise and environmental interference, accurately identifying faint intermittent abnormal noise hidden in normal sound signals. It visualizes invisible subtle noise problems and forms complete and traceable test records.

The system features strong on-site compatibility and flexible fixture adaptation for various product sizes and types. It can be deployed in laboratory benches for prototype research, reliability testing and noise mechanism analysis, as well as applied in end-of-line production stations for batch consistency screening. It synchronously records noise occurrence time, rotating speed and load status, helping engineering teams quickly locate root causes including assembly clearance deviation, component friction, structural resonance and loose parts.

By adopting the DC-TS-NVH system, manufacturers can transform traditional empirical manual detection into standardized, data-based and repeatable quality inspection procedures. In the R&D stage, it supports comparative testing of different structural designs and assembly processes to accelerate product upgrading. In mass production, it improves product consistency and reduces defective outflow risks. It also accumulates reliable test data for after-sales quality review and technical iteration, helping enterprises stabilize product performance and enhance market competitiveness.
